Tutukaka Coast Expedition

Tutukaka Coast Expedition

The Tutukaka Coast, is located just south of the Bay of Islands, and is known as New Zealand's 'Pacific Coast Paradise'. The coast is one of the most scenic and idyllic holiday destinations to be found, and is especially noted for it's clear blue waters, sheltered sandy bays, unspoilt estuaries, and sub-tropical native forest. The Tutukaka Coast offers everyone a wide and varied choice of coastal adventures. You can walk bare foot on pristine beaches, kayak, swim or snorkel in crystal clear waters, and experience coastal camping at its best.

Our overnight and 3 day tours along the coast explore the beautiful bays and scenic highlights of the area. There is a choice of several campsites making the area ideal for everyone, including larger groups and families who can experience a remote beach-camp setting yet not need to paddle long distances. Many groups like to make the most of the awesome environments and activities we can access in close proximity to camp. Fishing, snorkeling and night kayaking are just some of the possibilities to add to the camping experience.

More experienced groups can choose longer distances between camps or build in additional side trips for those want to explore further. Expedition style tours can also receive a pick-up from destinations such as Whananaki and Mimiwhangata, further up the coast
